In Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt, just a short distance from Paris and on the edge of Montmorency Forest, DomusVi inaugurated, in the presence of local officials, a new nursing home specialised in providing accommodation and bespoke care for Alzheimer’s patients.

This new home has a capacity of 90 people and offers different formulas according to needs: day care, short- or long-term stays. The home features a number of spacious and inviting living areas including lounges, restaurants, a wellness and relaxation area, bright rooms and ergonomic bathrooms to facilitate autonomy.

The various areas were designed to promote residents’ well-being and give access to specific care for Alzheimer’s disease. A multi-disciplinary team of 66 people, including 28 carers, run the nursing home and the treatments and workshops it offers. As Céline Vilocy, the Director of the nursing home explains, the home offers rich, comprehensive and innovative paramedical care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
