Human-centered innovation, for better support

By co-founding “Acteurs de la French Care,” a movement that connects healthcare and social care professionals in related fields, the DomusVi group continues its commitment to addressing the challenges of an aging population. Innovation is at the heart of its approach: innovating to maintain the quality of life for older people, with a primary focus on combating social isolation. Innovation is one of the key priorities of the Domus2025 strategic plan: 12 experts are working to conceive, develop, and test new projects.

Four key areas of focus have been identified: healthcare, services offered to residents, future housing solutions, and social and environmental responsibility. Partnerships are being established with a diverse range of organizations, including startups, universities, industrial companies, SMEs, incubators, healthcare and aging-related organizations, as well as organizations promoting innovation and job creation.

Each year, no fewer than a hundred diverse innovations are tested, with the aim of developing practical and useful solutions for everyday life. Among the six projects selected for 2022, one team, for example, developed Wivy, an application that allows users to create ready-made entertainment programs for seniors, with the goal of promoting their social activity and inclusion. On another front, bone conduction headphones are now being offered to older adults to help compensate for their hearing impairments. The overarching objective is human-centered innovation, to better support and assist those in need.

On this occasion, Sylvain Rabuel, President of the DomusVi Group, answered questions from representatives of “Acteurs de la French Care”.
