The Minister for Solidarity and Families, Ms. Aurore Bergé, visited the staff of the Les Issambres residence to encourage the vaccination campaign.

On Wednesday, 20 December 2023, Ms Aurore Bergé, Minister for Solidarity and Families, visited the DomusVi Les Issambres residence in Paris, accompanied by Ms Amélie Verdier, Director General of the Île-de-France Regional Health Agency.

In the presence of Sylvain Rabuel, President of the DomusVi Group, Eric Eygasier, Chief Executive Officer of DomusVi France, Jean-Pierre Burgalière, Regional Director, Rose-Marie Boyer, Residence Director, as well as staff members and residents, the Minister highlighted the importance of flu and Covid-19 vaccination campaigns during this period.

The Minister led by example by receiving her vaccination alongside two residents of Les Issambres, Mrs Rachel C. and Mrs Daniele R. This visit also provided an opportunity for her to speak with the teams and residents in attendance. The commitment of everyone, alongside public authorities and healthcare professionals, is essential in reminding people of the importance of vaccination against flu and Covid-19. Vaccination remains one of the best ways to protect the people we support every day.

Esther Guenniche, Medical Director, confirmed: “It is never too late to get vaccinated against flu and Covid-19. You can once again encourage both staff and residents to do so. Vaccination provides additional protection, alongside the usual preventive measures such as hand hygiene, ventilation and wearing a mask in case of symptoms, helping everyone enjoy the festive season safely with family and friends. In particular, remember to check the vaccination status of all new residents.”

“We must set an example when it comes to vaccination and encourage as many older people living in our residences as possible, as well as all our professionals, to get vaccinated so that they protect themselves and others. This requires constant vigilance, and we will be fully committed,” said Eric Eygasier, Chief Executive Officer of DomusVi France, on this occasion.

“I know the dedication and expertise you demonstrate every day in supporting older people living in our residences and those you assist in their homes. This commitment was acknowledged by the Minister during her visit. It is a well-deserved recognition and a source of pride for all DomusVi professionals,” said Sylvain Rabuel, President of the DomusVi Group.
