DomusVi makes a collective commitment to older people with the #PacteDeConfiance

On September 29, 2025, DomusVi, alongside five major private, non-profit and public organisations involved in supporting older people, presented a pact of trust for ageing well in France to the press.
Faced with the ?2030 demographic wall?, when the number of people aged 85 and over is expected to almost double within two decades, DomusVi, Emeis, Unccas, the French Hospital Federation (FHF), Groupe SOS and Groupe VYV are calling for national awareness and a lasting commitment from public authorities to adapt to local needs.
This pact is a collective and ambitious response to the challenge of demographic transition, with 10 concrete measures for dignified and deeply human support.
- Plan the 2025-2035 offer based on a shared assessment
- Encourage and support public and private investment
- Invest in innovation, building adaptation, climate challenges and new technologies
- Strengthen the appeal of care professions and meet recruitment needs
- Rebuild trust between French people and nursing homes, with equal treatment for all
- Rethink control and evaluation methods
- Launch a new pricing reform
- Modernise tools for assessing loss of autonomy
- Rethink the authorisation system: the nursing home as a platform
- Create a simplification shock in governance
Through this pact, the six organisations affirm a shared conviction: the challenge of ageing can only be met together, by mobilising elected officials, professionals, families and citizens.
From now on, inaction is no longer an option!
