On Monday, December 13, DomusVi welcomed, at its \u201cLe Tilleul\u201d residence in Chanteloup-les-Vignes (78), Ms. Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Solidarity and Health, in charge of Autonomy, and Ms. Nathalie \u00c9limas, Secretary of State to the Minister of National Education, Youth, and Sports, in charge of Priority Education. They had the opportunity to speak with the residence\u2019s staff and residents and participated in a roundtable discussion on the theme of intergenerational connections.
This event provided an opportunity for DomusVi to announce the creation of its corporate foundation dedicated to fostering intergenerational and intercultural exchanges in order to combat prejudices and stereotypes associated with all stages of life and to promote \u201cliving together\u201d throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The staff at the \u201cLe Tilleul\u201d nursing home, which cares for 93 residents in an environment tailored to their needs\u2014particularly for those who are disoriented or have Alzheimer\u2019s disease\u2014welcomed Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Solidarity and Health, in charge of Autonomy, and Nathalie \u00c9limas, Secretary of State to the Minister of National Education, Youth, and Sports, in charge of Priority Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit provided an opportunity for warm exchanges with the facility\u2019s staff, who introduced them to the Center for Adapted Activities and Care (PASA) as well as the secure living unit specifically designed for people who are disoriented or have Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eric Eygasier, CEO of DomusVi France, expressed his delight, saying, \u201cThis visit allowed us to highlight the work of our staff during this very unusual period and to discuss residents\u2019 needs and wishes with them. \u201cWe are pleased that our profession, dedicated to serving the elderly and the most vulnerable, has been brought to the forefront, and we appreciated our constructive discussions, which allowed us to address the concrete implementation of the measures announced in recent months by the Minister and her teams.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These discussions also highlighted intergenerational ties through a roundtable discussion featuring professionals and young people alongside the Secretary of State to the Minister of National Education, Youth, and Sports, responsible for Priority Education. \u201cRooted at the heart of our corporate mission, intergenerational connections are practiced daily and take on a multifaceted dimension at DomusVi: they range from on-site daycare projects within our residences\u2014using the EHPAD-platform model\u2014to training young people entering the workforce in our residences and agencies, as well as exchanges with teenagers focused on sharing knowledge and history.
