The Dual FP model with a double degree in the Middle Cycles of Nursing Auxiliary Care and Care for people in situations of dependency is the first one carried out throughout Spain DomusVi continues its commitment to Dual Vocational Training, and after implementing it in several centers in Madrid, it will also do so starting next March in 20 of the residences it manages in Galicia. Thanks to an agreement signed with the Xunta de Galicia, during the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 courses, it will train a total of 49 students from five Galician institutes over a period of between 6 and 10 months. The Dual Vocational Training model is a novel formula for collaboration between companies and the educational system that seeks the continuous improvement of the quality of training that students receive and increase job placement and employability of graduates. DomusVi is in the process of implementing the Dual Vocational Training model, already implemented last year in six of its centers in the Community of Madrid. In Galicia two projects will be carried out. In the first place, the Dual FP of the Middle Cycle of Auxiliary Nursing Care, which will be taught in the provinces of Ourense and Pontevedra and will have the collaboration of the IES Ricardo Mella centers and the CIFP A Carballeira. And secondly, the most complex and innovative, since it is the first program of this type that is taught in Spain, the Dual FP with Double Degree in the Middle Cycles of Nursing Auxiliary Care and Care for people in situations of dependency. This will be taught in the cities of Ferrol, A Coruña and Lugo, with CIFP Anxel Casal, IES Leixa and the Polytechnic CIFP of Lugo, as support training centers. During the training period students will have the category of apprentices within the company and will receive a scholarship, as well as be registered in Social Security. Likewise, each work center will have a tutor that will guarantee the orientation and consultation of the students, will facilitate relations with the teacher-tutor of the educational center and will provide the assessment reports that contribute to the detailed evaluation of each student during their training process. For DomusVi, the implementation of this program involves an exercise of social responsibility by training potential future employees, who have already acquired the habits and culture of the company, and who will guarantee the generational replacement of work center templates.
