Ten million people in China are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Extensive structural measures have been implemented by the Chinese government to meet their needs in the service sector for the elderly, increasing both the number of beds and the number of establishments in China.

The French elderly care sector, through the excellence of its members’ action, including the DomusVi Group, is providing China with real expertise in the field of dependency. On this subject, the DomusVi Group residence in Xi’an has been presented as an example of French adaptation to the local Chinese environment. Training for the staff is organized in a biannual training plan to which French experts contribute in keeping with Chinese habits and the levels of the healthcare teams.

The DomusVi Group also attended the 7th China International Senior Services Expo (CISSE) organized in Beijing from May 9th to 11th, at a booth located at the French Pavilion. CISSE is the largest Chinese trade fair dedicated to assistance for the elderly, with 50,000 visitors and participation by most of the foreign operators working in China. In 2016, the DomusVi Group opened its first residence with 187 beds in Xi’an and is actively pursuing its growth in major Chinese cities such as Beijing.
